Toms: One for One

One pair sold = one pair donated; the Toms Motto.

The one for one movement, which originally started with shoes, has now expanded to eye ware! Just like shoes (for every pair of shoes that is purchased, a pair is also given to a child in a developing country who lives every day without anything on their feet), eye care is given to children and families in developing countries for every pair of sunglasses purchased. Eye care consists of medical treatment, surgery and prescription glasses.

So if your hunting for a new pair of sunglasses this summer, consider Toms, and help give back!

They are already half way to reaching their goal of giving sight to 100,000 people this summer!

  1. I've been looking into getting a pair of Toms AND new sun glasses... This kind of really does make me want to buy from them.

I think it is great when companies do things like this. It's so important when companies are willing to match what we buy, and give it to developing countries.

It is a lot easier for big corporations and companies to help developing counties and try to end poverty.

I really liked this post :)

  2. Ya I definitley wish there was more companies that set out to make a change like Toms is. I mean most CSR from other big corporations is really only done to make them look good to their shareholders/investors or whatever. But Toms is actually just about giving back which I think is awesome!
