Now the eye is more than just the window to one's soul and is more than just an organ. It's what allows people to see the good, the bad and the ugly. So, even though Harry Potter made glasses chic, I want to get laser eye correction surgery so I can see without glasses. I have super bad eyesight to the extent that I have to make sure I put my glasses in the same place every night so I can find them in the morning. If I don't, then I can't see them (haha).  Laser eye surgery nowadays is a lot more reasonable than before - it only costs an arm instead of an arm and a leg. To get this surgery,  you have  see your regular eye doctor for a check up and a referral. I just found out today that they have super cool new machines that can take xrays/photos of 80% of your retina  without putting those drops in that make you look like you're possessed. So, after you do all that and if your eyes have not changed over the course of a few years, then you can go and have them zapped. Where do you go? One of the most common places in Calgary is the Gimble eye center they also have one in Edmonton. Demong is also another center in Calgary , though you should always have a talk with your eye doctor to get their advice. What does this all have to do with pop culture? Well, though glasses are very in at the moment, I would like to have the ability to see things when I'm old. That would be great. Also, I would like to be able to ditch my contacts, Not only am I kind of cheap but I don't always clean them properly and,   if you don't clean your contacts / take care of them they can lead to scratching on your eyes and eye infections from germs etc. as fun as that is and or could be, I would rather avoid no having that happen off and on for the rest of my life.
